Sully Seferov
He was born on December 8, 1943 in Sofia. In 1969, he graduated from the Academy of Arts with a degree in Painting in the class of Prof. Iliya Petrov. From the same year, he began participating in national exhibitions and presentations of Bulgaria abroad. He has had over twenty solo exhibitions. He is a member of the board of directors of the Union of Bulgarian Artists.
His paintings are owned by Bulgarian and foreign private collections, the Pushkin Museum in Moscow, the Ludwig Gallery for Modern Art in Cologne, the Sofia City and National Art Galleries, as well as all state galleries and collections in the country.
He is the recipient of numerous Bulgarian and international awards, including:
1969 – award for participation in a general art exhibition of the Union of Bulgarian Artists,
1971 – award for participation in the youth exhibition,
1984 – first prize of the Ministry of National Defense for a work on a patriotic theme,
1984 – Honored Artist,
1992 – Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters of France.
