Vanko Urumov


Vanko Urumov (b. 1941) is a Bulgarian painter, living and working in Varna, where he was director of the Boris Georgiev Art Gallery. He graduated from the National Academy of Arts in 1971 under Prof. Panayot Panayotov. He works in painting, graphics, monumental sculpture and applied art. He participates in prestigious exhibitions in Bulgaria and abroad, and his works are in national and international collections. He is the winner of numerous awards, including the Zahari Zograf and the Medusa Aurea from the Roman Academy.
